Sleep disturbance (difficulty getting to sleep, staying asleep and poor quality sleep) can be a risk factor for developing persistent pain. And persistent pain can lead to sleep disturbance.

Up to half of all patients with persistent pain report sleep disturbance.

And sleep disturbance is also associated with fatigue, poor mood, anxiety, impaired immune function, reduced cognitive ability (thinking) and increased sensitivity to noxious (potentially harmful) stimuli.

This activity aims to improve your sleep habits (known as sleep hygiene) and introduces techniques for a better night of sleep.
